Commentary By Rob Pollard

King Kun

"Since Sergio Aguero came back, he came back perfect. He feels free now. He just doesnโ€™t score goals, he makes space and doesnโ€™t stop and when he does that, heโ€™s one of the best, best, best strikers in the world without a doubt!"

What a result!

Aguero with another great effort. Takes on two on the edge of the area, shoots low towards the near post - Hamer gets down well to make the stop.

25-yard free-kick, left-footed, right into the top corner. Class from the best player on the pitch. What a way to mark your 250th Premier League appearance!

EDS 3-1 up!

Bernardo's cross causes Hamer to make a sprawling one-handed save. Aguero reacts quickest and collects the loose ball, shoots but hits the sidenetting.

Bernardo has just produced two brilliant pieces of skill to go past two defenders but Kongolo slides in firmly to make sure he doesn't make it three. Great tackle.

Silva with a reverse pass to the back stick. Aguero is there and tries to divert a head goalwards but he's stretching for it and it hits the sidenetting.

Silva will a ball to the left-hand side of the area. Mendy meets it and tries to volley goalwards but the angle is too tight and his connection is poor.

Silva service

David Silva makes his 250th Premier League appearance today. The Spaniard has scored 48 goals while his 75 assists are more than any other player in the competition since his debut.

Silva joined City in 2010 days after helping Spain win the World Cup in South Africa, and heโ€™s been a key component in helping City win three Premier League titles, an FA Cup and three League Cups.

Everyone at City would like to congratulate David on reaching this significant milestone.

City have failed to score in four successive home league matches against the Terriers. They have never gone five league games at home without scoring against a particular opponent.

Today at City Square we've got three special guests.

Tony Adcock, Paul Stewart and David White all scored hat-tricks when City beat Huddersfield 10-1 back in 1987 when Mel Machin was in charge.

Great to see all three back in tandem.

Huddersfield team news

Mathias Jorgensen is unavailable due to a muscle injury.

Danny Williams and Erik Durm are also missing, while Jonathan Hogg is a doubt with a hip problem.

View from the opposition

Huddersfield Town head coach David Wagner: "The second year is always harder to play in the Premier League. It's always harder to confirm the second year.

"We need to stick together. We know what it means to stay in the league."

Huddersfield are trying to avoid losing their opening two matches of a top-flight season for the first time since the 1954-55 campaign.

They could also fail to score in their opening two top-flight games for the first time in their history.

Don't forget...

City's EDS take on West Ham at 1pm.

And, of course, City travel to Birmingham Ladies today, with kick-off at 2pm.

It's a full schedule and I'll keep my eye on all of it.

Huddersfield have only won one of their last 11 league games. They failed to net in eight of those matches and did not score more than once in any of the other three.

Guardiola on de Bruyne's injury: "Hopefully in that time he can do as much as possible and when he comes back he can help us again.

"He will be a big miss. Kevin was outstanding last season.

"These long injuries are not wanted but we accept it. It is part of the game."

It's a very rainy Manchester today. Unusual weather for the first home game of the season, but then it's been an unusual summer full stop. Very much looking forward to this one.
